Dear Readers,
Welcome to my e-portfolio! I am honored and excited to share with you my learning from the past two years at Seattle University's Student Development Administration program. While I have faced many personal and professional challenges during my time at Seattle U, I am thankful to have the opportunity to reflect on my academic experiences and make meaning of my journey so far.
Between my coursework, Graduate Assistantship with the Center for Service and Community Engagement, 300 hours of internship, myriad research interests, commitment to professional development, and love of connecting with fellow graduate students, I have been quite busy these past two years. Looking ahead, I am excited to pursue meaningful professional work while taking a break from my own formal education--I have been in school for far too long! I look forward to gaining some much-needed perspective on my discernment which can only be obtained through direct professional practice. That being said, I am very much looking forward to deepening my commitment to social justice and advocacy work by one day pursuing a PhD in Counseling Psychology, and I know my foundations in Student Development will continue to serve me throughout my career.
Please explore my website, and feel free to contact me with inquiries, feedback, or reflections. The tabs at the top of the page will direct you to more information about my academic journey in the SDA program, my portfolio presentation committee, and my understanding and illustration of the SDA program learning outcomes. Below are images which illustrate meaningful moments from the past two years.
I am grateful for the many supportive and positive people in my life, including friends, family, classmates, colleagues, and mentors: I could not have made it through these past two years without your encouragement, generosity, and patience. Thank you.
Peace,
Emily
